The New York-based artist merges the classic elements of trap with a newfound intensity that cannot be easily replicated. His meticulous approach to music production has not gone unnoticed, with his work receiving support from the likes of RL Grime, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Excision, and others.
Control Freak’s discography spans as far back as 2018, and in that time, he’s managed to accumulate several hundreds of thousands of streams for hit tracks like EYES ON ME, WE RUN THIS, and his remix for Dodge & Fuski’s Written, with Deadlyft. Leading labels like Monstercat, HARD Recs, Gud Vibrations, and Sable Valley have gone on to cosign many of Control Freak's tracks, rendering him a mainstay in the bass and trap music realms.
As far as touring goes, Control Freak wrapped up a busy 2024 having appeared on lineups playing support for artists like RL Grime, Ray Volpe and Space Laces. This is in addition to commanding the stages of premier festivals and events like Lost Lands, Breakaway, and Brownies and Lemonade’s Double Cross in Los Angeles.
Control Freak has undoubtedly raised the bar when it comes to delivering a high energy and dynamic performance. This has translated extremely well across audiences, in turn leading to formative career opportunities. Come Thursday of this week, the artist is set to kick off his very first headline tour.
Those eager to witness the chaos of a Control Freak set can expect to see him performing at venues across the U.S., including Denver’s Larimer Lounge, The Loft at Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, and others.
